PHHWV Lost and Found Register for Horses
This register was initially set up during the Victorian bushfire crisis. It was decide to leave the register active as an ongoing service to people who have lost or found horses.
Whilst we are restricted in what personal information we can publish, by using this register you are agreeing to have a contact phone number and/or an email address with your ad so you can be contacted directly.
We strongly encourage people to include a photo on the register whenever possible. Once you have submitted your notice you will be given an ID number, please keep this for your reference.
A limited description will be published; this will be enough information for people to get an idea as to whether the horse on the register is theirs. We recommend you confirm additional ID information with the callers, such as brands, scars, rugs and halters the horse may have been wearing at the time of the disappearance before allowing anyone to visit, view and or collect a horse.
Please email Us should your horse be located or in the event that the owner of a lost horse is found so the listing can be removed from the register. For easy reference please ensure you include the ID number that was given to you when you submitted the listing. Listings will stay active for 3 months, after which time they will be removed.
If you have found a horse and are not in a position to keep it while the owner is located – please contact your local council ranger for advice and assistance.
