Becoming
a Member of Project Hope Horse Welfare Victoria
PHHWV
relies solely on memberships and donations in order to undertake
its important work. PHHWV members are highly valued whether they
decide to take on active or passive roles.
A
passive member contributes financially via payment of a membership
fee and by adding to the size of the organisation, they help to
add credibility and 'clout' to the PHHWV cause.
Members
seeking a more active role can assist by attending meetings, selling
raffle tickets, donating an hour or two of their time at fundraising/promotion
days, speaking with local Pony Clubs or training as a short term
carer or representative. PHHWV committee members are all volunteers.
All
PHHWV members receive a quarterly newsletter keeping them informed
of PHHWV activities. Committee meetings are held every two months
and both members and non-members are encouraged to attend.
