PHHWV Equine Placement Register

Every day PHHWV receives phone calls and e-mails from people wanting to give their horse or pony away.  These horses and ponies are unable to be kept for various reasons.

Due to the effects of the ongoing drought and general rising cost with everything especially feed and effects job losses, we are becoming in undated even more with these requests.

In particular horses that can’t be ridden, or unhandled especially older ones, the aged horse, horses with medical conditions and bigger TB types; seem to be the hardest to place as they require extra care and feeding at least once a day.  With feed prices on the rise people will not generally pay $60-70 a week to feed a horse they can’t ride.

The purpose of this register is to match horses or ponies needing new homes with new owners into suitable homes.

It should be noted this is not a sale register all horses offered via this forum are Free to Good home or PHHWV preferred option a Free Lease arrangement.

In order for your entry to be listed you must answer all the questions.  If you are unsure of the answer to any of the questions say “don’t know”.

The arrangement is between the current owner and the prospective owner PHHWV has no involvement in the placement of horses or ponies via this register.

PHHWV views all ads before they are listed and has the right to refuse to list any horse or pony without reason.
