Andrea Schaede
Hi my name is Andrea and I am a horseaholic...........
Well it goes something like that—but I am a very lucky girl as I share my life with my 4 beautiful mares, I also have 4 babies (foals) that keep me very busy and keep getting bigger every day and over the years there have been many other wonderful horses share my life.
I also have a paddock full of pringles, I mean Shetlands....well you can't stop at just one......they are addictive and so much fun especially my little man Patch, my Shetland Pinto stallion.
I also share our farm with myriad of other animals including a demonically possessed rooster, some chickens, our Angus cows and bull, a pet sheep named Shirley, some gorgeous cats, my Dalmatian and my Staffordshire and last but not least one very understanding and almost equally animal loving husband - Ralph.
Horses have always played such an enormous role in my life for as long as I can remember, I love nothing better than being in their company and to ride. I also teach riding and training using natural horsemanship.
I am currently studying to become a naturopath specialising in equines and trained in equine massage therapy with injury rehabilitation and the ageing equine, especially as mine get older, being my main focus.
I have been passionate about equine welfare for many years with the majority of my horses past and present coming to me as rescues of one sort or another.
Whilst it is a privilege to be a part of such a wonderful organization in PHHWV, I live for the day when we are all about education and not needed in the capacity we presently are.
