Description:

Rain Dancer is a handsome bay STB gelding, 7 years old, who is looking for a home as a friend to someone who likes the company of horses.

Unfortunately he was diagnosed with bone spurs. He had his joints cleaned out in April last year and had paddock rest for 4 months. He has been ridden for short trail rides since then without any problems and has done basic liberty training. His attention span is quite short, but mention the word "carrots" and he is back like a shot!

He was vet checked in Feb 12 and had only very minimal off balance in the right fore. He did, however, have a positive flexion test. He recovered quickly and the vet's diagnosis is that he would most likely be OK for easy trail rides.

Due to frequent travel I am looking for a genuine person with more time who is willing to take care of him.

He is good to shoe and float.

Please ring Rose on 0433 116436

 Description:

I have a 7 yr old Buckskin Pony who was rescued from slaughter at the age of two. He has laminitis issues but if kept as companion with another pony on poor quality grass, he will be fine. He cannot go on high quality pasture. It is "unlikely" he will be able to be used in the future for riding. I am seeking, if possible, a permanent experienced , loving home. He is a lovely pony but must have feed monitored for much of year. To the best of loving and experienced home only.
He MAY become sound, but if he does, he is semi broken, quite hot, and due to early abuse and no handling before he got to me, he is quite reactive and flighty at times. He is however, keen, quick to respond and learn, and very bold.
Given the circumstances his prognosis is guarded, but he does respond well on very limited grass, and hand feeding.
