‘New Paddock for Mia

Introducing Mia a 10 year old 15.1hh, brown Thoroughbred mare.
This sweet girl loves attention and will greet you at the gate for some loving. Mia requires an experienced and calm rider who can approach her with gentleness. She’s a gentle soul who loves trails and settles in quickly once you get on. More ‘woah’ than ‘go’. She’s brave on the trails and would love a new best friend to explore with.
Mia has undergone float training but can be unpredictable at times. An angle loader or open-sided truck has proven to be more successful for her. Ideally, her new home would be near trails, allowing her to be ridden without the need for floating.
Mia is easy to handle but can sometimes  struggle with being tied up. She is excellent with the farrier and has recently been wormed, had her feet done, and received Tetanus/Strangles vaccinations in December and teeth care in March. Currently enjoying lucerne hay and vit/mineral mix. Mia was only ridden a few weeks ago in June 2025.
If you’re an experienced rider looking for a lovely mare to care for and ride, Mia could be the perfect fit for you.
Mia needs to find a new home due to there being paddock restrictions with a stallion and two colts  and not enough paddocks to put between them. Some of Mia’s ‘marish’ characters would most likely reduce with being away from the boys.

How to lease a horse

We do not sell horses or adopt them out, they remain a Project Hope horse. This is of great benefit to the new owner and the welfare of the horse.
