Tucson
Meet Tucson
Tucson is a striking 17-year-old, 15.1hh Paint mare with a story of resilience and second chances.
After spending time in care with her first carer , where she was given the very best of safety and initial assessments , we knew Tucson was ready for her next chapter with a knowledgeable and experienced trainer. However, reports of dangerous behaviour emerged from her initial placement. Refusing to give up on this beautiful mare, we arranged several assessments to find the perfect match for her needs.
That match came in the form of Kiara from Fulfilment Park, who specialises in training misunderstood and often-labelled “dangerous” horses. Kiara openly welcomed both Tucson and her paddock mate Miffy into her program, and what followed has been nothing short of remarkable.
On the very day of their arrival—during one of Victoria’s windiest days in October—Kiara wasted no time beginning Tucson’s journey. Watch it all here
The transformation over the following days was truly amazing. From a worried and unsure mare, Tucson quickly revealed her true nature: inquisitive, eager to learn, and genuinely wanting to connect with people.
Tucson has shown us that with the right person and approach, even horses carrying difficult pasts can blossom. We cannot thank Kiara enough for taking on this gorgeous girl—it truly is a labour of love, and we’re excited to see Tucson continue to thrive.

We do not sell horses or adopt them out, they remain a Project Hope horse. This is of great benefit to the new owner and the welfare of the horse.
