Horse Reports
Project Hope representatives visit paddocks or properties when we receive a report of horse cruelty.

We train members who would like to help with this important outreach. We explain Project Hope’s role, what equine neglect, and abuse is, and the best way to speak with owners.

We run at least two training days a year and following the training, you decide if you wish to become a Project Hope representative.

Representatives are provided great support from our horse report coordinator, who can be contacted at any time
through the course of attending a report. Representatives can also access further information, support and advice through a private Facebook page. You may also like to read Investigate Neglect and Abuse.

Property Inspections
Before our horses go to a new home, be it for for short or long term care, we need representatives to make sure the property is suitable for the horse. In this role, you’d be checking for items such as well maintained fencing, access to water, what shelter is available, will the horse have a horse companion.

We’ll train you on the key features that make the perfect home for our beloved horses.

Help with Horse Transport
We cover the whole of Victoria, which means we need to transport horses from one property to another. Volunteers with floats or trucks to help us move our precious cargo are critical to the work we do.

Collecting Donations
We are contacted by many generous people with donations of rugs, saddles, tack, feed and more. We need volunteers to help collect these precious resources and deliver them to a committee member.

If you can help with any of these important tasks, we’d love to hear from you.

Administration

Administration plays a key role in helping us to record, manage, promote and implement the extensive programs we run.
