Meet Polly
Polly came into our care alongside her devoted companion Alby when their owner, facing difficult circumstances, made the brave decision to surrender them both. Through no fault of their own, these two ponies had been living without the specialized care they desperately needed.
When Polly arrived, it was clear she hadn’t seen a farrier in far too long. Her hooves had developed into severe “slipper hooves” – the tell-tale curved, overgrown shape that speaks to many months of no farrier visits. Like Alby, Polly is also laminitic, a painful and serious condition that requires careful management, proper diet, and regular hoof care.
The road ahead for Polly is a long one. She’ll need intensive rehabilitation, including corrective hoof trimming, pain management, a strictly controlled diet, and plenty of patience as her body heals. But despite everything she’s been through, this sweet pony has shown us her gentle nature and willingness to trust again.
Polly and Alby’s bond is unbreakable, and we’re committed to keeping them together as they heal. With time, proper care, and a lot of love, we’re hopeful that Polly will make a full recovery and eventually find a forever home where she and Alby can live out their days together, happy and pain-free.

How to lease a horse
We do not sell horses or adopt them out, they remain a Project Hope horse. This is of great benefit to the new owner and the welfare of the horse.
