Introducing Felix a 3-year-old, 8hh, black Mini gelding.
Known as the little one with a big heart and personality to melt your heart.
Felix had very long hooves that had not been attended for at least 2 plus years, he was obese, with a hard cresty neck and a body score of 5.
Felix was right on the verge of foundering. His hooves were hot, he wasn’t able to move all that well.
Thankfully we have a very compassionate and knowledge member that has been managing Felix back to good health..
It was important being on such a restricted diet that he still receives all the right supplements.
CEN Nutrition sends all of our newly surrendered horses a ‘survival kit ‘ to ensure that they are promptly on the way to better health.
Felix has had his dental, hooves and microchipping done. His carer said that he was a champ – no sedation required .
Being a 3-year-old, he will enjoy a long life of care and love.
We would want to see him with his own kind and being the centre of attention with lots of cuddles.
Important to have a person with knowledge on how to best manage horses at risk of laminitis.
Felix has completed his rehabilitation and is now available for Long Term Lease.
