Introducing Henry an 18 yr old, 15.2hh, Chestnut Thoroughbred gelding.
Once a prized horse that was sent on to Melbourne Polytechnic’s 300 hectares thoroughbred stud, Northern Lodge where he was utilised for their track training program. Henry became one the favourite horses there, but unfortunately the training centre closed and all the horses were dispersed.
Henry has had some trying times since and has now had a soft landing with us at Project Hope. He was a gentleman under saddle and on the ground. A true big-hearted horse that deserves as big a hearted human and other horses to surround him. We are conscious of his past few years and his age and will determine what is the best home for him – he may suit light riding once full veterinary, dental and farrier work is done.

How to lease a horse
We do not sell horses or adopt them out, they remain a Project Hope horse. This is of great benefit to the new owner and the welfare of the horse.
