Project Hope Horse Welfare Victoria Disappointed by Unsuccessful Grant Application

Project Hope Horse Welfare Victoria is disappointed to announce that our organisation was unsuccessful in securing funding from the Animal Welfare Fund Grant (Round 12) for our project aimed at enhancing biosecurity and traceability through horse microchipping.

Although we are disappointed by the outcome, we appreciate the efforts of Animal Welfare Victoria in administering the grant program and acknowledge the high level of interest and quality applications received.

The microchipping project would have enabled us to better track and care for horses in our care, ultimately leading to improved welfare outcomes. We remain committed to our mission of improving horse welfare in Victoria and will explore alternative funding opportunities to support this initiative. Like many animal welfare organisations, we rely heavily on fundraising efforts to deliver vital services due to the limited funding available.

We appreciate the opportunity to have applied for funding and remain committed to advancing the welfare of horses in Victoria, supported by the continued generosity of our members and community.

Yours sincerely
